Bob Werner was a man who cared about the place he lived. When an invasive species took hold in Skaneateles Lake he set about to fix that.
His actions not only effectively managed the problem but it also saved Central New York from having to spend
tens of millions of dollars on a water treatment plant.

Maggie is a Child Life Specialist at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. Her job is to make her patients, young cancer patients, feel at ease and less afraid of the ordeal they are going through. She's really good at it and she loves it.
The Skaneateles Lake Association, through the generous gifts of time and funding, commissioned the Dr. Robert Werner Research and Education Boat that will be a vital part of the effort to keep the drinking water of Skaneateles Lake pure, clean and pristine.
Rosie is a precocious, active and funny little girl.
And cancer has not stopped her.
